Do your flip phones support group texts and picture messaging (MMS)?

It depends on the device.

• The Nokia 2780 and HMD Barbie Flip both support Wi-Fi and slow data, which means they can send and receive group texts and MMS when connected. As simpler devices, media may display more basically than on a smartphone, especially over slower connections.

If group texts and photos matter to your family right now, the Nokia 2780 or HMD Barbie Flip on Step 2 or 3 of the ladder is the better starting point. If you’re looking for the simplest possible first phone with the least distraction, the BLU Tank Flip is intentionally limited in this way.
